Hot bike! Too bad I can't pull the text off the PDF they sent, only the pics. Once I have the text converted, I'll post it. In the meantime, have a look at the Venom site. (http://www.venom-group.com/storeitems.asp?section=Land&cc=MODEL_MOTO)
OK, here's the PR as it arrived from Venom:

At first I thought it said 1/18th.. But then I saw the size and realized I got the numbers mixed up. Yes, I realize a 1/18th version would be almost as small as a micro-t. I still want one that size. :)
Nice bike though. I hope Venom releases the graphite version without electronics nor painted at some point. Do they have any specs on what motor and battery systems are used? Lipo+Brushless if they do release a pro version.

The bike looks pretty cool, but the photos are a little misleading. If you look at the fine print it says:
*Note: Photos show optional carbon fiber race chassis kit
How about some pictures of what the bike will really look like as purchased?

The photos above that print are of the Race Chassis Kit installed. The very top two images are as close to the RTR as it will come out of the box. The main difference between the RTR Chassis and the Race Chassis is the geometry. There are 6 more rear shock angles, 5 wheelbase choices and 3 rake angle choices. The second point is the material. The Race Chassis has a 100% carbon fiber laminate and the RTR chassis is 50% titanium colored fiberglass and 50% carbon fiber laminate. Very trick for a stock chassis material in an RTR platform.

well the radio doesn't concern me.... I love the whole bike and I can't wait for it to come out.... I'm sure that eventually a Spectrum Micro and brushless system will go into mine within hours of it arriving on my doorstep...
but the fact that you get a 3-channel radio with brake mixing for bias, built into an RTR radio is fabulous!

There will be clear bodies and unpainted riders.... and the motor and battery system in the stock bike is a 370 motor and a 1200 NiMh battery

Hey Akura2, did you get to do any of the pre-testing giving your background? Is that a 1200 2/3AA? If so mmm... I can already see insane speeds with a 1/18th brushless system. :D
For racers like me whom already have the equipment, RTR is a waste of money, and to be honest isn't good from an ecological footprint (again for racers). Those bundled electronics just find their ways into dumps faster for us. Plus the excess energy it cost to ship a larger package versus a smaller one.
Your even suggesting spending more money to get a separate clear racer and body ontop of the RTR price. Its just not economically sound.
NOT PUTTING DOWN THE VENOM! In fact, I'm working with my local hobby shop to stock these since I think they will be hot. I'm just saying for some of the racing crowd, or those whom like building their own, its not as appealing as having a team kit with the goodies already in.

no pre-testing... just some information passed back and forth and some advise and idea-sharing... :D and yes 1200Mah 2/3aa...
eventually I'm sure they will release a pro kit version... but initially it makes more economic sense to release a toned down RTR to get people who aren't normally into these on board... this RTR bike isn't directly geared towards the hardcore racer yet.... but those who ARE racers will buy it and then mod it later... most of us who DO race these bikes can't wait for it to come out... and waiting longer for a "pro" version is even more agony... I, personally, have all the electronics already ready to go into one of these bikes, and I wouldn't hesitate to buy a pro version if it were offered alongside the RTR... but that's not going to stop me from trying to get my hands one one of these when they DO hit the streets.... nothing wrong with a stock spec class if this gets big enough to have classes... I have a $500 OTO T258 bike from Taiwan (www.oto-bike.com)already and getting one of these as part of my stable is still a priority :D

Had a few bikes but never got around to actually trying them out. Looks like I will need to pick this one up.
