Based on the Ultra GT platform the Ultra Dirt Oval Late Model Pro has been optimized for dirt oval racing. The large front bumper supports the front of the body and new rear body mounts are attached to a low profile aluminum shock tower. Other features are gear diffs, aluminum chassis, and sealed radio box.

Looks killer! What did they optimize for dirt oval racing. Offset chassis? staggered arms or wheels?

Looks like they optimized the body mounts and the shock towers/shocks to be able to use shorter ones.

A Brushless Conversion would be cool being that our dirt oval track is indoors.

What did they optimize for dirt oval racing.

I'd say their marketing strategy to keep an outdated chassis selling.

I'd say its a good enough strategy to sell alot of 'em especially for the price. outdated or not..although more radical revisions would would have been cool, and not doing that helps keep prices down also.

short wheel base and geared diffs suggest it will de difficult to drift on a dirt oval, more of a spin out type situation, might be fun on tarmac though! just my 2c worth

Matt - Sealed gear diffs are the norm for 1/8th scale buggies - they're highly tunable and very durable. The short wheelbase should help get the car in to a slide. Too long a chassis, and I'd imagine a dirt oval car would fight drifting.
