Charging NI-MH Batteries at there desired rates and voltages

I am wondering how to go about charging a 6V 2700Mah battery (AA 5 cell). What would be the recommended MA from the charger and what voltage, im not sure if the voltage contributes in anyway as this is the part that confuses me. I have sourced around and have have come to a conclusion that this battery pack should be charged at 2.7MA for 13-15 hours, is this correct? and what is the recommended voltage should be around before recharging it again?

Hi, for the first charge go for 270mAh for 10-12 hours, most chargers auto detect charge voltage, you didnt say what charger?,if you have to adjust charge voltage then it will need to be set to the manufacturers instruction's,, after the first slow charge you should be safe to fast charge up to 2Ah (2000mAh) some AA cells will take a higher current but its a bit hit and miss so i dont charge them faster than 2Ah , hope this helps a bit.
