what one should Pick to run in a Rustler? I have a trinity duo in there now 5.5 turn. I am also building an E-revo, would any of these work to power it with an Emaxx trans? thanks, sorry for teh noob questions

in terms of specification, this motor should pull a 1/8 scale conversion nicely, same spec as the Fiegoa 9XL, but of course, you get what you pay for... so quality may be an issue. personally i would give it a go and see how it works out, seems worth it for the price.

KB45 motors are HUGE (45mm in diameter vs. the standard 36mm 540 motor size diameter). Those will not work in a Rustler, and for a Revo conversion, you'd have to do some extra reworking since the mounting holes are farther apart and the shaft is also something like 8mm.

The KD36 motors will bolt right up provided the mounting holes are the standard 25mm or whatever (I think it's 25?). If you want insane power in a Rustler, something like a 7L would work quite well on just a 6 cell or 2s lipo pack (make sure it's a good pack though). It's about 3500kv, and you'll be able to gear it sky high for good torque and good top end.

Beware though, it'll make the Rustler tail heavy (which does affect how it jumps big time).

As Demon pointed out, something in an XL size would work great for the Revo. And as he noted, you do get what you pay for. It couldn't hurt though since they're relatively cheap.

I didn't realize just how good the prices are... I almost want a 6L just for fun... Dammit Demon! Look what you did!:p

Not you, the guy who posted above me (I should really use the quote button more often...). He posted a link to the motors a few weeks ago before you did... Lol!

I'm not rich, I'm broke because of my RCs! I did just get a job for summer though...:D

I bought a medusa V2 4 pole 4800kv motor about two months or so ago. It's in my Rustler right now on 2s lipo. Geared 25/87 (about 9.5:1 FDR), not only is it fast, but it still has enough torque to wheelie at half throttle. It didn't get above 130F to boot (pretty efficient motor)! They have 60mm long motors too that would probably work quite well in 1/8 buggy conversions.
