I have a g260 marine zenoah with a 2 inch hanson belley pipe. the exhaust is placed at around 12i inches from the header pipe. i am not suer if these engines are supposed to have a power band, do they? being a 2 stroke they would have a power band speaking from most other 2 strokes i have seen and heard. if yous need anymore info on carb settings and exhuast please let me know.

The 2" band makes the engine more driveable, less "peaky".

so a 1 inch band would make a difference in overall speed if all the settings on the boat were the same except the exhaust was changed to a hanson 1 inch belley pipe?

i have found that hanson prducts can be a bit expensive and can achieve the same results with a slightly cheaper version. they are a good quality prduct dont get me wrong they make good stuff. Its all aluminuim so its light and not too much weight. weight is a major factor in boats imo. Just watch out for the costing of hanson products sometimes the can be a bit expensive thats all

When you buy engines from Hanson, ask about reconditioned ones as well. I bought a G230 years ago and found it to be considerably cheaper than a new engine. Also, if you buy any engine from them, the exhaust parts are marked down as well, or at least that was the case when I bought my stuff from them

i since now have a stainless cone to cone pipe, and i prefer the stainless over the hanson band pipes. It changes the characteristics of the boats attidude.
