Here's another great flyer I just got in for review. I have been a fan of the Panic for years and now MRC is imprting this great sport aerobatic bipe from the UK as an ARF. It has been flown in the UK for more than 25 years and it has a big following on the other side of the pond!
It is a 40 size flyer with a 49 inch span and 976 sq. in. wing area. Fying weight is 5 pounds so it is definately a sport model that will be easy to fly
Watch for my review coming up soon in MAN
If you want to see a photo of he completed PANIC bipe. check out my photos in the Toldeo Highlights forum right here in "INside MAN"

I agree! But imagine how much material I will need to buy to repair any holes inthe covering! Ouch! :^(

one thing is for sure, if you can't see this plane in the air, you need a seeing eye dog to guild you around the airfield.

Here's the engine I am using for the Panic. It is an Evolution "A" trainer 2-stroke with the heavy flywheel removed. It is a .45 displacement and has the following specs. For only $80 seems like a deal! Note I angled the engine installation so the muffler would clear the l;anding gear and be under the fiselage.
Bore: .87 in
Stroke: .77 in
Weight: 19.52 oz
Crankshaft Threads: 1/4-28
Benchmark Prop: 10x4
RPM Range: 2,000-16,000 rpm
Fuel:10% - 30% Nitro
Cylinder Type:ABC
Price: $80

The landing gear looks pretty good too. It is soldered and bound at the joints and seems to be polished or chrome plated. There are hooks for rubberbands to be added between the legs. Also the hardware to attach it to the fuselage are made of thick aluminum and pre-bent

Hi Guys, just thought I’d give you some info on recommended engines for this plane as I have been flying it here in the UK for many years and I’m part of the Panic Team UK.
A 40 size motor will fly this model but if you want to bring it to life then you need to be looking at a 60 motor and to get the pulse going a 72-75!
For our team displays we are now using 90 size 2 strokes! You don’t need to use all this power but you can get some really outrageous results when applied!!
Anyway, I hope this is of interest to you

Thanks for the info. For the review I think a .45 will be fine but like any aerobatic model there's no such thing as TOO much power!
Watch for the review in the October issue of MAN

Some flight shots from the field. Model is extremely stable but very maneuverable when you want it. Excellent first day tests. 4 flights and 4 great landings. knife edge is a slight bit pitch coupled to the gear side but nothing too bad. nice inverted too
