I have an old os max fs 61. It runs great. But I can not get a dependable idle out of it. And don't have a manual for it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Donald

Dear Don,

Without being able to examine your engine, it is pretty saying what the problem may be, especially with the lack of information provided. It could well be that the engine has j seen it's better days and is need of rebuild. When engines h seen their better day, the idle is the first thing to go due lack of sufficient combustion pressure. Be sure to use a 4-s1 glowplug, preferably the O.S. "F" plug and 15% nitro fuel. T1 line of your fuel tank should be about 1/4" below the center of the needle valve. If higher, you can expect idle and acceleration problems. I assume your have tried both richening and leaning idle mixture? Other than this, there isn't much more I can of Sorry I can't be of more help.

Hi Debra
Sorry to jump on your thread but I am looking for a awnser and no one has responded to my question yet. My question to anyone who has a awnser is; How many turns do I need to adjust the fuel mixture needle to? At the moment i have it at 2 and a half turns but it seems a bit rich as its spitting out a lot of unburnt fuel out at the exhaust.
