Dear Mr. Lee.
About a month ago you told me on how to remove the sleeve from my Super Tigre GS40 and all went well. The only problem I’m having is how you get the piston ring on the piston without breaking it. I have broken 3 of them and at this point I could have purchased a new engine. Any ideas on the correct method so I can make #4 the winner.
Thanks
Doug
Doug, you are probably expanding the ring and trying to slip it over the top of the piston. Catch one end of the ring in the piston groove, and while applying slight downward and outward pressure with your finger, circle around the piston. Good luck.
