For my 16th birthday my parents are going to let me get a charger. What i want to know what my options are for one to last for a long time and be able to handle newer batteries. Here are my minimum requirements.

*Dual charger,6-8 cell nimh, 1-3 lipo, charge rate 1A to about 5A, Prefered AC/DC, balancing tab and memory profiles bonus

So far I've come up with the accu cycle elite, super brain 977, and Hyperion's EOS 0610i DUO( $265 is pushing it for me)

What i want to know is what else is out there to compete with these three . Right now I have a mambafied stampede with an 8 cell. I've been in this I've been using by brother SuperB 959 but it can't keep up when were both running. I would also like to but don't have to be able to charge a lipo for the micro T

Hyperion EOS0606i, I would recommend. It's AC/DC, All NiCd, NiMh, & lipo's charger. MaxAmps you can find it for $150. Super Brain I wouldn't recommend cuz Orion/Kokam Lipo's products has a problem. Orion lipo's doesn't recommed the charging with the Super Brain.

do you know why that is? and what about the accu cycle?

The older MRCs used an improper lipo peaking algorithm that involved a timer instead of a CC/CV method, which is really just wrong and stupid on their part.

The Accu Cycle Elite is a good charger, but is quite slow if you're doing 1/10 packs, or really anything bigger than about 2000mAh.

Honestly, if you want AC/DC AND dual output capabilities, you're going to have to sacrifice quality or charge time or something...

I would rather have 2 Triton Jr's and a ~10A power supply (for 12VDC output from wall outlet) for the ~$265 range. Then you get two chargers that are better than anything you even mentioned, but still have AC/DC capabilities.

No, never seen that one before, & the price looks a bit steep to boot, for that kind of money, you'd be better off with something like Core RC's UDC-20 charger & a good power supply(which I HIGHLY reccomend anyway, I have one myself & LOVE it, works on just about any kind of battery you'd want & does LiPo balancing, all at a price better than the Duratrax Ice).....
