Okay... I currently have a Evader EXT RTR. I am VERY new to RC cars and so far I love the hobby. I have seen several third party transmitters that have the memory for several different cars. Would it be necessary to purchase a seperate receiver and servos for every car that I own or can the transmitter but "programed" to run different receivers/servos. Could someone please explain this concept to me? Thanks for the help.

The part you hold is the transmitter (tx) The part in the car is the receiver (rx).

You will want a separate rx and servos for each vehicle. You could change them but it would be a pain. You could get away with one rx and change it since it's usually fairly easy. But you definitely want separate servos.

So, on average what does it cost to get an extra set of receivers and servos? Just a ball park figure would be fine. Do all receivers and servos fit all scales for a given scale (1/10 etc?) Sorry for the newbie questions but.....I am a newbie.

Ball park figure for servo and receiver about £32.00.
Can be used generally across the range.

There is wide range depending on servos and brand.

Say you get a Futaba 3pm FM. A extra receiver would be about $50 servos are hard to say since they can cost as little as $10 to over a hundred. Around $85 for the rx and a servo would be close I'd guess.

If you goto something like Futaba 3PM 3-Channel (http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXGAG3**&P=ML) you'll notice a big difference. You don't need a 3 channel now but it's nice if you need it in the future the FM has less interference and the included 3305 servo will be faster and stronger.

You could do it cheaper but better servos and radio system is a good hopup.

And the radio fit all normal size cars trucks 1/10 1/12 and 1/8. The radio will work in a 1/4 but you'll need way bigger servos.

Happy to help.
