The SBV2 is a 1/10 4WD (offroad). I have everything but the motor. I've got a spare MM and a Tanic 3S 3650mAh. So I ordered the CM7700 today. If my calcs are close (and if aerodynamics are not too bad) I might get close to 100 MPH. I'm hoping for 80+ (set your sights low;.)) Not sure where the heck I'm gonna test it though.
I've got bald rubber tires right now, I assume they'll go boom, so I'll get some foam on there soon.
Overall gearing is 8.1:1. Motor should spin around 85,000.
Wish me luck!

Nice Car Gordon. I was waiting for you to come out with a car. We have been discussing our new projects on a forum AJ set up. (http://www.fast-rc.co.uk/forum/index.php)
Have you been looking for a place to test yet?
There is a guy Magnus in Sweden, who has hit 135mph (http://fastestrc.blogspot.com/2008/04/video-has-magnus-broken-world-record.html) (unconfirmed) with a TC4 MM7700 and MM ESC on 5s. The video of his 135 mph run is impossible to see because its so dark, so here is video of his next quickest run of 121.7 mph (http://fastestrc.blogspot.com/2008/04/video-magnus-at-1217-mph.html) He has posted a lot of info at the now defunct (http://lincit.myzen.co.uk/rcspeedfreaks/forum/index.php?showtopic=44)Speed Freak Forum.
I wish you luck. Take plenty of video and pictures!

Got the motor in. Alot of tire growth. It's gotta really be screwing with the gearing. Also destroyed a plastic outdrive, time for steel.
It flipped over one run so I put a wing on the front too.
This may be harder than I thought.:o:D It looks like I'm only hitting 60+ ish.

wow, sounds like you have plenty of power. I think you can get foams pretty easy for your car.
As for blowovers, I had the same problem. (http://fastrc.blogspot.com/2008/05/blow-over-in-slow-motion.html) I put a splitter on and some winglets.

Be sure to tighten the rear diff as tight as you can and loosen the slipper till the diff doesn't bark, The diff spring is a bit weak and i melted my rear diff that way

Yea, I melted 2 diffs so far. I've got the steel outdrives ordered along with some other parts. I'll be getting some wheels, a guy I know gets foam from somewhere and mounts and trues foam tires. So I should be back in business in a couple weeks.
Has anybody tried a pitot(sp?) tube sensor to test speed?
I'm going to try to mount an optical on a wheel hub and try to get that to pick up on a black and white strip. I also have a BL motor RPM sensor coming.
