I'm driving a Hyper 8.5 nitro buggy with a 6 V NiMh hump-pack for the Spektrum receiver.
I have a Ace Ds-1015 and Hitec servo installed.
I wish to install a lipo 7.4 receiver pack.

I'm confused what to get installed either a lipo cut-off or a voltage regulator.
I understand that a lipo cut-off protects the lipo-pack and that the voltage regulator protect the servo's. Is a combination of both needed ? or even exists ?

Thx Serge

You really don't want a cutoff because your radio will stop responding when the cutoff kicks in, and that's not really a good thing.

You would need a regulator. Losi makes a couple, Novak also makes a couple to choose from. Personally, I like the Castle BEC regulator. Stronger than most others and more efficient as well, plus you can set the voltage with the CastleLink programmer.

I like my novac because it has a low voltage inicator bulb, I don't think the castle does?? Didn't see it
