Good evening, My friend has purchased a DX 2.0 Spektrum, And installed it with great results. However he recently experienced alot of glitching, Which made the vehicle un driveable! We replaced both servos with brand new items as we thought this was the issue, However we still had these issues.
Since then, We have tried to re bind the transmitter with the reciever, And it loses binding after a few seconds.
I took my Spektrum DX 2.0 out of my buggy (which was working 100% fine in my buggy with no issues whatsover!) and we tried to bind his transmitter to my reciever to no avail. The system binds then looses its bind a few seconds after. Expecting to have found the issue (his transmiter) I took my system out of his car, And now my perfectly working RX and TX will not bind.
However, We manage to get the solid LED on both TX and RX if we bind without servos. as soon as a servo is installed, the light on the rx flashes and bind is lost.
So to summarise now both out spektrums aren't working anymore.
any ideas?
Thanks

A friend was having this problem. He replaced the receiver and the problem was fixed. No other suggestions for you though, have you tried contacting the manufacturer?

a lot of issues like this have to do with the battery powering the reciever. If it is being powered through a BEC on an ESC then likely your main battery pack is failing. If on a nitro car running a reciever pack then the RX pack needs replacing.

This started happening to my Sidewinder 4600 powered Tamiya tt-01 with a DX3.0 system. At first the system ran fine, but after a few days I noticed some horrible glitching and even lost control of the car once, but fortunately it ran into and got stuck in a bush. The problem was with the ESC being unable to supply power to the sensitive SR3000 Rx when running on 3S. I solved it by installing a cheap ($7) Hextronik BEC from Hobbycity.com. I recommend that you invest in one; I myself have these BECs on each of my vehicles and they make a world of difference. Remember to pull the center pin out from the ESC plug when using an external BEC and never cut it; you simply pry it plastic tab which holds the pin up, and tug at the lead gently till it comes out. You solder the BEC input leads to your ESC's battery connector, and plug in the output end into the "BATT" socket, and you should be good to go. Your ESC's built in BEC is becoming overloaded due to the power demand from the servo, which is why it works perfectly sans the servo.

If you're using 4 AA batteries, buy a 5 cell hump/flat pack. Spektrums are power hungry.
If you're using an ESC, you can try the spektrum capacitor, which they call something like a voltage stabilizer.

I've got the Spektrum capacitor it really doesn't give much of an improvement. That's why I've installed UBECs.

It doesn't do much but sometimes it's just enough.
Best bet is to upgrade receiver pack/install castle BEC or equivalent.

hi, We are both using top class 5 cell rx batteries.
Still having the issues :(

How old are the packs?

The reason I ask is because this issue is almost always a voltage issue. It's likely that either your rx packs are wearing out or they are not getting a good charge.
