I just got a new Hobbico 905 AC/DC multi-charger and two new venom 3000 NiMH 7.2 volt power pack. On the back of the power pack it list a 54 minute at 4 amps charge for the 3000amp packs. Does this mean I need to run the quick charge for 54 minutes (restarting the timer) or just the 15 minutes the timer allows to set it for??

The 905 is a timer charger isn't it?
Timer chargers are a BIG no-no for NiMH cells. They overcharge horribly, unless you don't want good performance, then you can be sure to undercharge them, but it's nearly impossible to peak them properly on a timer charger.

Send it back and spend more money on a decent, NiMH compatible peak detection charger. I don't even know why they make timer chargers any more. It's kind of like ball mice. It kind of works, but why they still make the things, nobody knows.
