Hello. could I use my 3 ch 2.4ghz receivers with the M11? thinking of upgrading radio, but don't want to change out all the receivers.

Thanks

Nope.

MX3: FHSS (Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum)
M11: DSSS (Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum)

Kind of stupid, isn't it?

just my luck, can't find receipt for the receiver, and hobbypeople won't do a thing without it

doh. oh well, the MX3 is a pretty decent radio, guess I'll have to do

Mine works fine for what I'm doing with it, which is basically just beating things up in the front yard. The range is great and it has more than enough adjustments. Honestly, I don't use any more than that radio has even at a racetrack, other than some Futaba-Specific features that my 3PJS has, but even their cheap radio (3PM) has that stuff.

well that's reassuring, thank you. It seems pretty nice, ARC and EPA adjustments is what I really need. Plus I got a 2100 mah lipo in there, so light weight + infinite run time = :D:D

Thanks bud!

well hell, found the receipt in the glove box! back to the topic I guess

Do you think the M11 is a worthy upgrade? What does it do that the MX3 won't, aside from knob control for the 3rd (and 4th?) channel? That's kind of usefull in case I go rear steer or something, that is my main reason for considering it

Hobby people have the M11 on sale at 279.99

Sorry to bring this back, but the option made itself available to me again :)

Yeah, it'd be neat for scale projects, but most of the features are just "bells and whistles" that sell the things. You really do not need any of that stuff if you're not racing hardcore. Even then, I still never really used much of the functionality of my Futaba 3PJS. The only reason I liked the higher end radio was the timer which I ended up not using after a while, and then the throttle accelerate feature that would take the slop out of the linkage. But if your linkage is set up properly, you shouldn't really need that feature unless you really like a lot of drag brake.

I have an MX-3. Its my number one favorite radio so far. I never liked the feel of the M8/M11, felt too top heavy for me. The Mx-3 feels much more balanced to me and has more than enough features for the racing i use it for. Id say just save your money and stay with that instead.

Hah, man I don't know if I could agree more. The M8/M11 never really did anything for me either. Never did like them much. I do, however, love the feel of that MX-3.
