Interesting indeed. Seems like a good drop-in powerhouse for the right chassis.

The information on the Micro-DT LiPo packs is confusing. It seems like some of it is repeated, and the capacities and C ratings are inconsistent in the headings vs. descriptions.

I saw that too. Nobody even thought of proofreading it.

But a 3s pack in a stock micro DT? The 2s blows up motors, I wonder what the 3s would do!

They don't even have an ESC that's spec'd for 3s IIRC. The brushless ESC is good to 2s (I got one in my micro-t at the moment; the setup is a handful on just 2s!).

Does anyone know if the LOSB9863 (Crawler 3300mAh 7.4V LiPo) pack would work with the Mini-Monster Baja? I would love to have the additional run time over the standard 1000mAh battery. It looks like the LOSB9862 (4400mAh) would not fit, but the '63 might.

I don't see why the Crawler 3300mah pack would not work in the Mini Monster Baja as long as it fits.

Seems they are just putting "Crawler" on it to make it sound more interesting to people getting into crawling.

Thank you Ken. I just recently purchased the Mini-Monster Baja for my wife who didn't want something quite as big or fast as my Traxxas Rusterl VXL. I've done a fair bit of research on Traxxas motors, equipment, compatibility, but not yet on the Losi products. Her only complaint so far has been the short life-span of the included 1000mAh LiPo.
I see that the Losi LiPos have a separate balancing connector. Is this unnecessary if using the Losi wall wart charger?

Anyways, I don't think anything will explode. The rotor is sooooo tiny, that it'll probably be ok at those RPMs. Your worst problem would probably be A) not ever hitting full throttle and B) the motor cooking itself from excessive current draw since the gearing is VERY limited on the micro-t (same load, more voltage, more current). The bearings would probably be one of the weakest mechanical links too (though, I have no clue what kind of bearings those little guys have).

But hey, if you all are volunteering me....supply the electronics and I'll give it a go when I get home for Thanksgiving..:D:huh:

Exalthim: I ALWAYS balance my packs while charging. You should probably pick up an Astroflight Blink balancer and a "Thunder Power" adapter (also sold by Astroflight). You won't necessarily see it do much of anything, but your battery will last a lot longer with it than without.

ET: If I'm supplying electronics, I think I can test it myself. :D That could be fun... :D
