some of the specs are a bit confusing. what are "DIAL TYPE AL DAMPER " and "FOR RACING TIRE (GRAND-PRIX)"? there must be some mistranslation to english from japanese, but other than that, it looks like any other competitive stadium truck.
AL is short for Aluminum I believe. Not sure what they meant by Grand Prix unless if refers to a type of tire they use overseas.

I think the "dial damper" means Like a schumacher type adjustable piston setup.
Looks like a cool truck, I may add one to go with my T4

Dial dampner means threaded shock bodies....
Grand Prix is the OEM tire manufacturer
and Academy is made in Korea not Japan

Team Academy is from South Korea, they used to have a truck before this one called the Griffen. Like most products from asia, besides Tamiya and Kyosho a lot is litteral translation.

I've only had it for about a week.... and raced it once. Right off the bat its pretty good. I also run the buggy and if the truck is as good it will just as dialed.
I should have the body done tomorrow night and I'll post those pics.... the bodies profile is pretty sick

here's a few with body on... the body is really low slung and looks really cool... TQ'd and won last night on the debut out, its pretty dialed right out of the box

Looks nice! I wouldn't mind having one of those. They're a bit cheaper than Losi or AE aren't they? And in one of the pictures of the truck it looked like they just used the buggy wing mounts as body mounts?

yes the price on the academy cars is awesome... the buggy right now is $169 shipped off theyre site...
the truck I think will be around $200-210
ya same mounts as the wing on the buggy... really the only parts that are different are the arms, towers, shocks, turnbuckles, axles and chassis.... everything else is 100% interchangable with the buggy.

Dealing with MRC is great. I dont own any vehicles but do own a 989 charger that the screen broke on. Sent it in and they are fixing it for free!
