I'm somewhat newbie in the electrical stuff on the RCs and here's my question.
I want to buy a led kit for my RC car. But I don't want to put extra batteries for it and I want to use the main battery. The led kit has a small 2-pin power cable but there's no place on my esc to plug it.
Should I cut my battery's cable and connect it directly? Or is there any connector cable for this purpose?? Any idea appriciated.

If you mean a little red plug, that my friend, plugs into te "batt" slot on your receiver. When you turn the car/truck on, it will turn the lights on as well. Black wire goes to the outside of the receiver, red in the middle.

If you want to venture further, and make them turn on remotely, check out my tutorial....

ok but here's the thing. I have a small fan for the esc. When I connect the fan's small red plug to the "batt" slot on my receiver, nothing happens. My receiver is BEC equipped, but nothing happens. What is the thing that I'm doing wrong??
