The most interesting thing I read was this:

Radio tray designed specifically for the 8IGHT-E

Could this mean a RTR 8IGHT-E from Losi?? :)

Very interesting. What the heck is a 720 sized motor (The only thing I can think of would be those dewalt 700 size motors, and those are larger than a typical 540 size/36mm diameter motor- I wonder if Losi is introducing a new standard size with a larger diameter- that'd be smart IMO).

And WOW. The motors are expensive. About the same price as a Mega, and approaching the price of a Neu!

Does anyone subscribe to Losi's mailing list? I never got any e-mails from them concerning new releases.
The losi 8ght-e is a fansastic idea. Now if they had a 8ght CORR truck that would be tha bomb!!!

Wow, that brushless system is not messing around. ET - I guess a 720 size motor is just a numerical way of saying "freakin' huge." Seriously though...looks like a 700 size motor, but longer. Just like 540 vs. 550. As if you need more torque from a motor that big.

Good catch...that would be the logical conclusion.

But we all know what the real story is here....how about that CAMP CHAIR?!? :)

Another thing of note is the Camp Chair:

Chair will support up to 350 lbs.

Losi is looking out for the big boys too. ;)

That's what I'm thinking. That's a huge motor if it is a 700 size motor (I've seen a 19 series Neu labeled as a 720 motor too... and that is a BIG motor).

No official word from Losi still, but today they did release the following 8IGHT-E parts, along with direct replacement parts for their conversion kit, so it does look like some sort of 8IGHT-E is in the works.

Fantastic, great job Losi.

It would be nice to see a picture of a converted buggy.

While I have no idea if an electric 8ight is in the works, I would go as far as saying this may be the brushless system they are releasing for all those guys who have already converted their buggies to electric with the existing conversion kits.

But then they wouldn't give a converted buggy a name of it's own, would they?

The new body should be nice for those who already have converted losi's. Give more room for the battery. Pics they have of it converted already:

On another forum I frequent, I found dimensions of the motor from Rich Trujillo.

39mm in diameter, and approximately 67mm long give or take a millimeter. It'll also have a 5mm shaft, and as already mentioned (I think?), it's a 4 pole motor.
