Hi everyone,

I'm new here but I thought I would post some pics of my latest design.

The plane is all balsa and ply and covered with Monokote.

Specs:

Wing span................ 60"
Wing area................. 600 sq in
Airfoil........................E470 (modified)
Weight ready to fly......4.3lbs (69oz)
Wing loading...............16.5 oz/sq ft
Motor........................Turnigy 55-50A 400Kv outruner
Prop..........................APC 15x10
ESC...........................Turnigy Sentry 40A
Battery......................HXT 4100mah 4S1P
Max current................28A (420W)
Power loading.............97W/lb

The plane flies better than I had hoped. The low wing loading and high power loading make the plane very fun to fly. The airframe is pretty low drag so it glides well and dead stick landings are no problem. It settles nice in a 3-point landing every time. I have been playing with the thrust angles and have it pretty much sorted out. It took a lot of right thrust to counter act that big prop.

I get 18 minute flight times on one charge and the static thrust is about 4.5lbs measured with my fish scale. Pretty good numbers for a $140 power system!!!

I hope to be flying this plane for along time to come and if I loose it for any reason I will build another one right away since it's just so much fun to fly.

Here's some flight shots my buddy took of the plane.

It's now my favourite plane to fly.
