I think this shocks fit SC8 as well. all 3(RC8, RC8T & SC8) look the same chassis & design to me.

As far as what the individual wants to put on their SC8, if you want big bore, more power to you; but I really hope most tracks adopt a "must be scale" or in the spirit of being scale rules. Big bore shocks just wouldn't look right on the scale CORR rig for an organized racing "scale" class.

From all the pics posted the shocks are not visable, so why should size be limited.
Really though the only scale "look" to the vehicle is the tires and body and mudflaps, the chassis is in no way scale appearance wise.
Should servo power be limited to 60oz 20sec so turning is not up-to-snuff.
The slash slayer dont have mudflaps does this mean they dont race or need to have them put on.

It should be limited if people want to see this become a class and a popular one. If you don't define the specs rigidly to the kit as it comes (electronics are a personal preference, some people actually prefer slower servos), where do you draw the line? If someone shows up to a race with mini-pin tires mounted on some after market low profile rims, do you bend the rules and allow it? Toss in the big bore shocks too. Let's say it's ok to remove the roll cage too because some racers want to save a bit of weight. Then someone will use a wider offset rim to widen the track width so the truck rarely rolls over. Now let's tack a wing on the back.

Ok, so now it's basically a mentally challenged (being pc here) truggy and every new racer the sc8 has managed to attract to this hobby that shows up to race for the first time has to drop a couple hundred extra bucks to turn it into a goof-mobile to be competitive.

The regular shocks are already bigger than scale as it is.

I'm not saying someone can't put them on their sc8. I'm just saying that a racing class for trucks like the sc8 would probably thrive with rigid specs because it maintains the scale appearance and keeps costs down somewhat.
