About the Model
-The durable ladder frame chassis features steel channels and resin cross members for
high strength.
-Accurately replicating the Tundra’s suspension system are metal leaf springs, and coil
springs with metal friction dampers.
-Equipped amidships for a lower center of gravity is a 3-speed transmission allowing gear
changing and realistic low speed driving. -
Propeller shafts and slipper clutch efficiently transfer power to all wheels on any type of
terrain.
-Powered by a type 540 motor. (included)
-The full-time 4WD guarantees road hugging performance.
-The differential can be locked in place to enable improved performancing on any surface
it may face.
-The newly designed chrome plated wheels with bead lock rings precisely catch the essence
of the Pick-up truck. Because the Tundra is fitted with similar side-block tires like the
F-350 (58397), it is possible to change them with any other cross country tires.
-4-Channel transmitter, ESC, and running battery & charger are separately available.
-Loading the separately available Pick-Up Truck Multi-Function Unit (Item 53957) MFC-02
will further enhance the truck and put a wide range of realistic light, sound, and vibration
effects at your fingertips.
-For dressing-up the model, snow boards (2) and roof racks are included.

ME WANT! Wow! Do they come painted up like that? What about the "anodized" diff cases and other bling details? I bet we will pay a premium for this truck...but wow.
Sweet bead lock wheels too. Darn it, when it comes time to get a scale 4x4 Tamiya is going to make my choice very difficult. :)

At last! a real new body for the hi-lift chassis. A little bigger wheels and tires and it will be perfect for me.

I want this so bad. I always wanted a Bruiser. Then Tamiya updates it with the High-Lift series. Now this, and it's so beautiful.
I was checking out the RTR F-350 High Lift. I almost sharted on myself when I saw it cost over a grand.

I do wish that they had gone with the bigger 4 door cab. Maybe streached the chassis a tiny bit. But still, freaking awesome!

That is friggin sweet! I agree it does need bigger tires. Thankfully all you have to do is just buy bigger tires! Looks like it may rub though =P Unlike their other yota where you need to drop the body and do other crap to make it proper.
I wonder if the wheelbase is stretched out a bit?

Chassis is longer than other highlifts and you can raise or lower it.

Tundra looks good but it just needs larger wheel/tires combo.

JAnderson: Does that mean the wheelbase is longer? If so, by how much?
Please can you put new chassis pics up on the TamiyaUSA site.
Thanks

Any details on how you can raise and lower the chassis?
I was pretty sure that it read the body raises and lowers not the chassis?
im guessing adjustable height body mounts!
Now there is to many choices! I wanted a hilux then the cr-01 land cruiser, then the cr-01 unimog and now i prefer the tundra chocies, choices! lol guess need to decide cr-01 or 3 speed high lift first!!!
thanks

Furthermore, this model Tundra comes with option parts allowing the user to raise the body in the same manner as the actual pick-up truck.
I took this from the Tamiya website. I take it to read "tilt bed" like the other trucks in the series. I don't think the body moves or the chassis vertically.

Ah, gotcha. I dunno, I might consider this truck over the regular Hi-Lift if it didn't come with the MFU. I don't really want to fork over hundreds for that. I do love the true beadlock wheels though.

The MFU is available separately. It isn't stated anywhere that it's included on the kit level truck. The only place that it's included is the RTR and I don't know anyone with that kind of dough for this type of truck. It's not really something that gives any RTR satisfaction. There are many trucks out there for less money that do that and do everything other than "SCALE" better.
