Latest race news from Kyosho (http://www.kyoshoamerica.com):

Kyosho factory driver Scott Kimbrow TQ'ed and won the Open Class at the 2008 ROAR 1/8 Fuel On-Road Nationals held at the 301 Raceway in Brandywine, Maryland. Kimbrow extends his perfect record with this performance a delivers Kyosho its third consecutive ROAR National title in the class.

Kimbrow set the fastest qualifying time and pulled out to the lead and held on to it easily in the first half of the race. A long pit stop that included a tire change cost him 47 seconds, which shuffled him back to second place behind Mugen's Mike Swauger. Kimbrow closed to within five seconds after being nearly 16 seconds behind, but the building anticipation of a door-to-door dash for the finish was scuttled when Swauger made a mistake around the 50-minute mark and broke his car. Kimbrow cruised to the finish nearly a lap and a half ahead of second, scoring the title of National Champion. Kimbrow runs the Kyosho Evolva M3 with Novarossi power, a Spektrum DX3R radio, Tornado Fuel, and Kyosho Red Box tires.

Eli Ezrow, who was also running a Kyosho Evolva M3, TQ'ed and won the Masters title. Ezrow started on the front row but within two laps was relegated to third place. Ezrow was back into second place by lap 21, but Bowerman, who got through the first lap cleanly, wasn't as easy as easy a catch. Ezrow ran about 14 seconds behind, when Bowerman clocked in at 20 seconds for the 86th lap. Ezrow help the position until the end of the race, with the exception of one lap when pit stops overlapped, and took top honors in the Masters class. Ezrow runs IDM engines, a Spektrum DX3R radio, and Kyosho Red Box tires.

Congratulations to Kimbrow and Ezrow for the sweep of the event, taking the TQ and wins in both classes!
