They put an electric start on it.

It's the equivalent of Losi. At least OFNA left the name the same. If it was Losi, they would have put drift tires on it and called it a NITRO DRIFT-R.

LOL I leave R/C for 4 years, come back, and the LD3 is still news!?

Still looks good in that TG10 Mk2/FW05/RS4-3 kinda way. I like it.

Hmm... throw an electric start on an LD3 and re-release it...

If OFNA will re-release the CD3 Pro Kit I'll be in hog heaven :)

I was thinking the exact same thing. Talk about a serious case of deja vu

In the 5 years that this car was out I have yet to see one in the local lot or track. :roll2::p

LOL, I'm not the only one then... I've actually never even seen one in person.

I don't think it sells very well.

At least not here in the US. Can someone please tell me the difference between the CD3 and the LD3?

I've seen quite a few, most guys with the LD3 don't know how to set it up though, just wanted something cheap. Which is a shame, it is actually a good car, and more durable than the widely popular TC3.

The CD3 has a right hand mounted engine similar to the Kyosho FW-05R, but with a nicer electronics tray.

I've been running my fully optioned CD3 pro for 3 seasons now, competitive against anything else out there.

The problem with OFNA is that you can get in pretty cheap to start but once you start looking for parts or upgrades, look out!! You get hit with some hefty price tags. This is unlike Mugen which is the other way around, pricey car, inexpensive parts.

However, if this to be compared to anything, it would be the Traxxas Nitro 4-Tec RTR also equipped with electric start but at almost twice the price of the OFNA. Although the Traxxas comes with a larger 3.3 motor vs. the 2.5 on this LD3. If you're a beginner, you don't need all that speed anyways because it will be a quick trip the hobby store for parts and repairs.
