Has anyone seen/heard or had experience of a Pulse XT60 running with a smaller than recommended engine?
The 4 stroke rating says a .91 to 100 but due to an oversight(!) the engine I had planned to use is not available.
I do however have a Saito 82a which I feel should do a good job given the style of the plane etc.

Any comments??
Thanks

You should be ok. I have one and it flys really nice at 1/4 throttle. It has a very light wing load so you should be fine. Install it and see. Run it partway down the runway to get a feel if it will fly. That way your not commited to takeoff, but you can gauge your thrust. I found the tail comes up really easy and the other guy at our field with this plane has the same trouble. Nothing alittle elevator can't fix. Just watch your prop.

Great, thanks.... I have also had the "thumbs up" from others as well now about this engine choice....it will be more than powerful enough is the general opinion!
Cheers
