Cable came with the Transmitter?

I recently bought a RC heli (Exceed RC, Blasting Star), there is a cable come with it, it is like a serial plug at one end, then round plug on the other that can connected to the transmitter. What is the cable for?

I read it can connect to PC for simulation program, right?
