Thanks to Huricane Ike and renovating my Custom Outlaws Shop I keep finding more Customs that have been packed away for years.
Here's a Talbot Lago Limo.
The front is a Talbot Lago, the rear is a Talbot Lago and in the middle is a Fat Fender 40.
HotWheels should really make more Coupes and Sedans with large pontoon fenders from the 30's and 40's.
Notice the front of the Custom.
The face of the HW's issued Talbot Lago only comes down about half way on the casting and then stops.
I used QuikSteel to create a full faced Custom version.
The rear window of the Talbo Lago is filled in and a sunroof is now present a little further up on the roof.
Just like the Fat Fender and Swoop Coupe combo I posted earlier, this Talbot Lago and Fat fender were very close to a natural fit.
QuikSteel was also used to extend the rear of the body almost 3/16".
Wheel wells were cut into the rear fenders to expose some nice whitewall tires.
