its a foamy... got the body, need to know which size motor and controller combo to get? its 500g or 17.64oz without the motor and electronics... I am new to this, don't know anything... I can get E-Flite and Hyperion if you could maybe gimme something on them...

Doesn't the instructions provide this information? Do you have local flying help that is willing to help you learn to fly? If yes, ask them for recommendations. Is this Yak 54 considered a beginners airplane. Normally, they are not beginners airplanes!

You need to now the total weight of the plane, guts and all.
Then figure a trainer or sport plane 50 - 75 watts; an aerobatic job: 100 watts and 3d 150 watts or more. Look each will produce using a reasonable size battery.
