Why is it if you give an opinion on one of these R/C Forums people are so quick to go off on you?

HEHEHEH. I think it comes down to either misinterpretation , or maladjusted tenancies from under-active brain function. Many people have opinions, and that is wonderful. The ability to express those opinions in a manner of professionalism, or maturity is where there typically is an issue.

We all have a right to say what is on our minds, within reason. Some people simply cannot muster the key words in their responses to have it not be offensive.

That is why i personally try to re-read what I have read. if I do become offended, i will simply look at other things, take a "breather" if you will, and return. I then re-read, to make certain i do understand the post...and in a rational manner, state my rebuttal.


Then again, some people are just idiots.

I can garrentee you there are few people who spend as much time re-reading what I post, attempting to make sure I've stated it clearly, concisely, non-confrontationally and with the best spelling and grammar I can. Why shouldn't I have my opinions? I've been doing this a long time! It really seems to be the new people who have some experience, that get there knickers in a bunch over the fact I may disagree with there ideas/opinions.

As you should have your opinion!!! You do take the time to type an intelligent, clairvoyant responses. there is no reason for anyone to give you "flack", unless they fall in that "other category" I mentioned. ;)

Because people are stupid.

Once they say their piece, they have to defend it and cannot back down.

Even when shown they are wrong, they often dig in and refuse to admit the facts.

Not sure why people think they can be rude on a forum, just because they aren't standing face to face with someone.

Then again, maybe those same folks are rude in person, too!:(
