I like the idea of waterproof for winter however I know the older Tmaxx's were glass boxes.

I come from a history of BUILT savages and LST's, can the emaxx hold up?????????

I had the new waterproof e-maxx.
Just the bad thing is the stock motors they don't last long. And really you have to go brushless after that.

If it not the price. You should look at the e-revo. It is also waterproof.

The e-maxx holds up pretty well, but the bulkheads are a weak point as are the front and rear skid plates. There are made from rather thin and brittle plastic which can't take a lot of hard landings and once they go, you lose structural integrity in the bulkheads and eventually they'll break off at the chassis mount points. You'd be well off to fit a set of RPM skids, which attach over the the stock plates to protect them. Other than that it's a pretty good truck, mine has been mambafied with 4S and a 7XL.

If you go all out on your other vehicles, I'm going to assume price isn't a huge concern.

Why even look at the E-Maxx? There's a reason the E-Revo is more expensive.

It does everything the E-Maxx does, and then some. Plus extra durability.

The E-Maxx is a great truck, but it has its weak points. I have RPM arms, aluminum bulks and titainium skids; it is safe to say that it is somewhere between bullet-proof and bomb-proof. When I bought the E-Maxx, it was the only electric monster, I'm looking at getting another one and it will likely be the E-Revo or the Summit. Those cost more, but you are getting a better truck.
Plus, Traxxas has great tech support.

My E Maxx has the RPM arms and shock towers and I've had no problems. I think it is a great truck and bash it every chance I have.
