Here is my attempt at a bullet proof basher.
It's a Savage X with Baja 5B shocks and Golitah tires.
Some of the upgrades include CEN diffs, Flextek arms, Lunsford pins and turnbuckles, FLM towers, aluminum bulkhead and chassis braces, etc.
Take a look:

Thanks man. As far as the Revo vs. Savage it depends on what you want to do with it. Our group bashes and the Savages always out last the Revo's in a day of bashing, but put both on the track and the Revo's will whip us.
So from what I have seen:
Savage - Bashing, big air kings. - Tough as nails
Revo - Racing, track kings. - Fragile but fast.

There's a new dirt r/c track going near my house so I guess I need some speed and toughness. What would be the top speed on a stock Savage 4.6?

They have a stock 4.6 at about 44mph. I have never clocked mine. All of that can be changed by different gearing and tire size. I have also added CEN diffs to mine which changes it also.

Thanks for helping me decide, I think i'm going with the Savage, 44mph is plenty fast for me and I like the idea that it will take a beating.

I don't think you would be disappointed with either, but my choice would be the Savage as well.

I like the way big trucks look, its as though they can handle anything out there.
Feel cool at the track haha
