I just got a T-maxx, upon breaking it in , at the end of the fifth tank, I breaked(is that a word?) to hard and did an a$$ over tea cups cart wheel.
broke the right frt axle block. went today at lunch and picked them up and put them on.
during the trail things were going good.
I hit a 4-5 ft dirt pile to jump. went about 6ft in the air landing kinda on the right rear.
broke the rear truck arm , pivot pin, and panhard bar.

I didn't think the jump was all that and I land on dirt not road.

I have a feeling that I will be doing alot of up grades.
or move to large scale.

THANKS i WAs going to go alum. but complete frt and rear rpm for 40 bucks.

it was upper 50's low 60's not so cold that I think the plastic would be brittle.

probably just my luck.
will have it back together tomarrow and see what happens.

x2. ive had lots of breakage when its cold out. the plastic/composite material turns brittle in the cold.

I've broken a bulkhead too. Get some aluminium skids, they'll go a long way increasing the bottom end strength and will stress the bulkheads less. Put RPM skid plates on top of those and you have a winner. I haven't broken anything yet since I went that way.

Large scales still break, and when they break they are MUCH more expensive to fix. Its common to break crap on a new vehicle in new terrain... You will break less when you get used to driving and jumping the truck.

A roll bar will break other stuff more often. You're carrying more mass and not bracing anything important.

Roll cages are the next best thing to useless unless you're having trouble breaking body mounts or engines due to impact.
