I just replaced the stock 48p spur in my Stampede with a 32p spur gear. The 32p spur gear is a 60 tooth meant for and RC10GT but it just barely fits under the Stampede's gear cover. I made the swap to increase durability for bashing and wheelies, etc. I've heard though that 48p gears are more efficient. Is that true? How much difference does it make?

48 pitch are also quieter if i'm not mistaken and it allows for more gearing options. if you are stripping spurs, check your mesh and your slipper settings.

I ran a 2s lipo + a Mamba Max 6900 for a long time and never stripped a spur gear.

If your mesh is right, it should be fine.

48p is slightly quieter and more efficient but it shouldn't really be noticeable on a Stampede. You'll notice the noise difference but probably not the efficiency.

From my understanding, and Im sure someone will correct me if im wrong, but The finer the pitch the more rpm and the coarser the pitch the more torque.

Lol, I know, I'm just kidding around. My truck doesn't have a slipper. I've got those Traxxas friction pegs in there.

I also have question is mod 0.6 the same as 48 pitch? or is it 64 pitch?

.6 is very similar to 48p but it's not the same. You can use them together but it's really loud and you'll grind things down pretty quick. .6 is called metric 48p and it's what Tamiya uses. If you need a .6 metric pinion gear, Robinson Racing sells them on Tower.

No. That's wrong. Torque vs. Top Speed has nothing to do with pitch. Just relative diameters.

yeah rpm and torque are changed by the number of teeth on the gear no matter what the pitch is
