I have a Hyper 7 that I converted to brushless, one day at the track I had a nasty cartwheel and broke a C-hub. The 17* stock version. I tracked down and bought two sets of them. The next two bash sessions I had I broke the same one (left) each time. Now I'm out of spares and wondering why nobody else seems to have this problem.

The plastic seems really really brittle and I wasn't bashing it hard either time. I cannot find an aluminum version of them anywhere. I have some 22* versions on their way now and plan to boil them in hopes of making them last a little longer.

Ideally I would be interested in an alternative...maybe some hyper 9.5 c-hubs will work? I would love some aluminum ones. Any help would be great. :D

Your in Ohio, it must have been pretty cold, though not today. Plastic is very brittle in cold temps.

Exactly what I was thinking, however the first break it was prob in the 50's or 60's and this last time it was about 55*F out....

I can only imagine that I'm not hearing about it more because of how old the buggy is and how few people are using it. But its still great for bashing around and I don't want to buy a new buggy because I keep breaking a $10 part...

I have a Hyper 7 as well and those c-hubs are very brittle, just go ahead and convert it to the PBS set up. It uses ball joints and eliminates the c-hub and I have'nt broken them yet. Good luck.

I ended up ordering some 22 degree c-hubs from nitrohouse, the 17* ones I got were made by hobao, but the 22*'s say ofna on the package. They also appear to be a different material better engineered. I think they will work fine.
