Does anyone have information on two 8' wingspan Beaver models made by Unionville Hobby Supply (complete wooden kit) and/or Kondor Model Products Beaver aircraft ARF with a fiberglass fuselage? Both manufacturers are located in Canada.

Than you.

I can't help you with the plane but I can tell you this Forum doesn't get alot of traffic. Have you tried rcuniverse.com or rcgroups.com? You might have better luck there with this question.

IF YOU GO WITH A UNIONVILLE KIT,,, you should be real experenced in building, i wouldn't recomend thier kits to a novice,, they are very sparse in useable information, instructions are written like you already know how to build thier kit. ie.,, there is no information on servo placement, nor any servo mounts included in the kit.about the only useful information on set up is the c/g. i have built their beaver kit, after re-reading the instructions, several times, i was able to figger out just what they were getting at, it came out reasonable, but i do have 28 yrs. of custom woodworking experence, along with building several planes. if you have some experence, and are handy, you should have a nice beaver.

Thanks for the info. In your experience what is the most difficult plane you have built and why?

i designed a delta wing go fast, similar to the shrike, only i made the wings removable, by the use of two wing plug-in tubes. I used an electri-fly electric motor instead of glow power. The wing tubes were a challange to get right. Once finished, trimming at the field went pretty well, meaning it didn't crash, after moving the c.g. a bit, i had'nt compensated enough for the lighter electric motor, this lil bugger will 'go fast'. With a wing span of 44 1/2 inches and fuse of 32 inches, and weighs a little under 3#, this now is a real fun plane to fly, the low fast fly-by's are just too much fun to have this screem past you. Next i'm going to draw a print for a fokker d7, with a 60'' wing span, plan to use new sato 20 4 stroke gas engine, we'll see how that comes out.

Thanks Gene, I looked up the Lanier Shrike and now I have some more questions. With all the wing area is this an easy bird to fly? Also do you have any pictures or drawings of her?
