"DieCast Garage Dairy Delivery"
Recently I designed and printed Decals for some '56 Panel Trucks that Famous Flying Ace made for Diecast Garage aka ublswheels.com
Like HobbyTalk the Garage is another user friendly site that has a core of regular members who always welcomes those from other Boards.
Here's one of 2 Dairy's I'm making,
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v483/CadillacPat/DieCast%20Garage/PICT0019.jpg
A Gorilla walks into a Bar.
The Bartender looks at him and says,"What can I get for you?"
The Gorilla sits on the stool and says,"Make me a Jack Daniels on the rocks."
The Bartender gives the Gorilla his drink and says, "That'll be $9.50."
The Gorilla looks up on the shelf behind the bar and says,"Hey, are those some of CadillacPat's Customs up there? I can always recognize those 3D radiant Rainbow Graphics."
The Bartender says,"Yes, he makes his own Decals on an InkJet Printer."
The Gorilla is startled and says,"On an InkJet?? But the colors are so rich and vibrant, How does he get those InkJet Decals to show up and glow bright on those dark backgrounds??"
The Bartender shrugs his shoulders and says," I have no idea, it must be Magic."
The Bartender looks at the Gorilla and says,"You know we don't get too many Gorillas in here."
And the Gorilla replies," Well at $9.50 a drink I can see why."
The Dairy is primered and then based with Shimrin White,
Shot overall with Stratto Blue,
Then Intercoat Cleared, taped and shot Black
Decals and Details are applied,
Center Cap for the Gas Cap,
Quad Frenched Rhinestone Headlights ala Rhinestone Cowboy.
Cleared with HOK Urethane Clear with Lavender Pearl-Ex Powder.
With the Lavender Pearl-Ex Powder the Black shifts to Purple and the Blue glows Pink in the Sunlight.
You can get the same Color shift effects using Pearl Powders as you can from expensive Chameleon Paints.
Actually the Color shifts are not nearly as gaudy as Chameleon Paints.
All Products Used Are Exclusively House Of Kolor, Of Course!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wheels and tires are from the Jada AC Cobra.
