"DieCast Garage Dairy II"
This one started life to be one of my new "HighWay To Hell" Customs celebrating ThunderDome IV.
I've already completed a Euro Red and Black "Highway To Hell" Jada COE so this Dairy was meant to match it.
But, once I tried out some new Flying Skull Decals for the Panel windows it went in another direction.
This Euro Red and Black combo contrasts real nice with the Stratto Blue and Black of the original DieCast Garage Dairy I showed a week or so ago.
I've used a badge style graphics for the Logo on the roof of this one.
Lots of filing, sanding and rubbing down with #3 Steel Wool to clean up the body.
Primered and shot ShimRin White.
Fenders shot Black and then InterCoat Cleared and taped.
Sides shot another light coat of Shimrin White and then Euro Red.
Sides are Intercoat Cleared and taped off.
Upper half is shot Black and all tape is removed.
Cleared with HOK Urethane Clear and a dose of Flamingo Pink Pearl-Ex Powder.
The Black shifts to Lavender and the Red shifts to a Pink Fire.
All Products Used Are Exclusively House Of Kolor, Of Course!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Decals and Detail applied,
Quad Rhinestone Headlights,------Mikey Likes It!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Once again InkJet Decals over not just Black this time but Euro Red.
InkJet Decals in all the colors of the Rainbow, and then some!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
How in the world is that possible with InkJet Decals on dark backgrounds?????????????
The air is filled with Magic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
For the Base,
I've got a couple of hundred Dairy's with those horrid Red Wheels on them.
There's only 2 choices with those stinking Red Wheels,
Cover them up or swap out the wheels.
The Red Wheels front and rear are actually about 2mm larger diameter than the Chrome or Gold Wheels on Dairy Delivery's.
I've matched up some Center Caps that leave just a sliver of the Red showing.
They represent a low profile style of what many of us remember as the GoodYear Uniroyal Red Line Tiger Paws of the late 60's, with Moon Caps.
Red windows and Black interior,
Rivet reassembly.
