"Zombie Zone - Halloween Skulls"
More Jada castings with HOK paint and Papilio.com Decals,
Traditional Halloween colors, Orange, Green and Black, a beautiful combination.
Primered, and the fenders are shot Tru Blue, a beautiful Blue from HOK.
Fenders are Intercoat Cleared and taped, then the hood, sides and rear are dusted with Shimrin White and then shot Tangelo Pearl.
All that is Intercoat Cleared and taped and the casting is shot Black from the beltline up.
Intercoat Cleared from the beltline up and taped, then the hood, sides, fenders and rear are shot Candy Tangerine with some Orange Pearl Powder, turning the Tru Blue Fenders to a deep Bronze Metallic and the Tangelo Pearl to a glossy deep bright Orange.
The fenders now shift from Bronze Metallic to Purple because of the Pearl Powder.
A tiny wad of ScotchBrite was necessary to scuff up the beltline so LimeTime Pearl would have some bite when airbrushing the side trim.
Painting a basecoat on top of a Candy is a tricky procedure requiring the right steps of preparation otherwise it just won't adhere and won't leave clean edges.
Decals are printed on Clear InkJet Decal Paper from Papilio.com
Details applied and a total of 10 Rhinestones make up the Headlights and Taillights.
This little beauty is a first with 6 Rhinestone Headlights other than my usual 4.
Lots of very precise drilling with no margin for error.
Cleared with HOK Urethane Enamel and a little Aztec Gold Pearl Powder to light up in the sunlight.
