you guys your both wrong!

they did that because its a warning to not use there batteries...once you plug them in you never go......... i think there batteries are junk!

For the money, you could get a LiPo.

They might be decent cells, I'll give 'em a chance. :)

Also, the connector/wire is shrink wrapped into the packaging, not the battery itself.

I used their 3800's before and they were good, not the best but not bad either. But I had a hardtime fitting the 3800 side by side pack into my RDX with the shrink wrapping and had to cut it off. I can only imagine that it will be an even harder fit with these packs?

Definately a little pricey?

I went to the source to find why the packs look the way they do and here is their answer:

That clear shrink is celophane, and is merely intended to prevent the plugs/wire from moving around during shipping. The customer just rips off that celophane when ready to use.
