"Before the Clear, Candy or Pearl Powder"
Just a little "Show & Tell" about how much colors change with the addition of the ClearCoat, Candy Coat or Pearl Powders.
I'm posting up these unfinished pieces as a prelude to show you who are considering purchasing an AirBrush just how much you can enhance your Customs by being able to use Candies, Pearl Powders and good 2 stage Urethane Clearcoats.
Here's a 3 car set I'm finishing up for an upcoming Event.

Custom Decals, Details, Rhinestones, and Center Caps are next,
Then comes the final stages of Candy and ClearCoat.
These 2 Jadas and the Dairy Delivery are painted in Tangelo Pearl, LimeTime Pearl, and Black,
All House Of Kolors Products, Of Course!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
These are fine colors in themselves,
The Tangelo has lots of fine Gold Pearl and the LimeTime has lots of Yellow-Gold Pearl.
Just a ClearCoat would breathe life into these castings but they will go a little extra distance.
After all the Decals and Details,
The Black Roofs will be taped off and the Orange and Green bodies will be shot a thinned down Candy Pagan Gold with Yellow Pearl Powder.
The Candy Pagan Gold will slightly darken the Orange and Green, tying the colors together, and the Yellow Pearl will explode in the sunlight really brightening things up.
The tape will be removed and the entire castings will be shot HOK Clear with a dash of Brilliant Gold Pearl Powder, this time tying all 3 colors together.
All the taping is done with Tamiya Masking Tape,
Lots of Taping with Intercoat Clear shot between each color,
All fenders are drilled out for Rhinestone Headlights, and in the case of the Oil Tanker original plastic headlights were removed and the fenders filled.
I sure like these Jada castings and I thought the addition of a HW Dairy would make an interesting combination for a 3 car set.
