just got a street weapon and would like to get some new wheels/tires but could not find any around, since they need a special rim, does any one know of an adapter to fit regular touring tires on, maybe made by Trinty

It's been a while, but I don't see why a set of XXX-S or even Associated's TC3 hexes wouldn't fit.
As long as the hole is the right size, they oughta work!

the hex is smaller then the regular hex on a touring car rim

RPM used to make an adapter set that consisted of a pair of aluminum fron hexes (replaces the Losi aluminum hex that is part of the front universal) and a pair of plastic rear hexes. They have been discontinued for a while, but if you call RPM they may still have some available.
If you want some SW foam tires or SW wheels for rubber tires, PM me - I have some for sale.
Alternatively, if you have CVDs, you can use a TC3 stub axle in front instead of the Losi stub axle and use standard 12MM hexes (I have done this). In the rear, you need to use different rear hubs to match the offset of the fronts and then most any 12MM hex will work. But you have to be willing to play around and try different parts to see what fits if you can't find the RPM adapters.
If you want the adapters and can't get them from RPM, I have a set I would sell at the right price. Call RPM first.

No, those are not the ones. The correct ones will replace part of the front axle where it passes though the bearings. The picture at the bottom right of this page is the correct part, but when you click on the link it doesn't go to the correct part.
