I'm designing an OV-1 Mohawk and my design isn't too elegant for the fowler flaps. These flaps also need to function with the ailerons under certain conditions, which complicates the design a little. If anyone can give me some pointers it would be welcome. I've got the Robart tracks and the P-38 design available in from the plans guide of the magazine.
Thanks,

Try this www.tri-countybarnstormers.com/fowler_flaps.htm
Let me know if it helps.

HI
Thanks for taking a stab at it. That method won't work for my application. I wish my application only needed something like what you sent me.
I'm doing a 96" OV-1 Mohawk and must have the fowler flaps inbedded in the body of the wing. When the flaps drop to 30-45 deg the outboard portion of the fowler flaps then act as flaperons.
If anyone has a clue how to design that it would be great.
Thanks,
Gary

This is the first site I've asked for help on. Any suggestions of a better site to try for help?
Thanks,
Gary

This site does not get much traffic. I like rcgroups.com the best but that is a personal choice. If you are into electric flight then wattflyer.com is also very good. rcuniverse.com wraps up the ones I know of. Does anybody esle have a forum to check out?
