I hung out with the Associated crew this past weekend and they gave me their latest set-up tips. Please post any other SC10 trends or set-up tips here.
Ride Height
Front- arms slightly above level (red springs)
Rear- arms slightly above level (silver springs)
(with battery installed)
Running the ride height a little higher than normal for 1/10-scale vehicles gives the SC10 more traction.
Camber
Front- -.5-degrees
Rear- -.5-degrees or 0
The trucks seems to like very little camber and is more planted.

Have they given you any tips on mod setups? The Slash is sticking around to run spec, I bought the SC10 as my "Open" class rig - I plan to run the new Bowties and adjust the suspension accordingly. The stock settings will obviously be a little soft for big horsepower and high traction...

I know a lot of the team guys run red springs up front to take away a bit of the steering and to help with rear traction. Most of the guys that I know run the truck with 17.5 or 13.5 power and don't deviate from the main set-up that often.

If anyone has a good low-traction setup (slick track), please post it up.
The biggest improvement I've had so far was switching from diff oil to black grease in the diff. Before the switch, the rear end wanted to walk out around every turn, now I'm full throttle through the sweepers where I used to have to baby it...

For more rear traction try these tips.
- Raise the ride height a little (arms slightly above level)
- Make sure the rear hubs are forward.
- Run red springs up front (they'll take away steering, thus giving a feel of more rear traction)
- Sipe the rear tires. (use a cutting wheel and split the outer and inner lugs)
- Most guys run silver springs in the rear, but I found that the green springs with 25wt. oil offers a little more traction.
- Cut about 1/2-inch of the foam spacer and move your battery towards the back of the chassis.
- Adding 1 1/2-ounces of lead weight to the rear of the chassis helps in sweepers. (Associated sells lead weight strips that work great)
- If you're running the stock dogbones make sure the axles don't rub on the suspension arms. If the axles rub on the arms they'll act like a brake in tight corners causing your truck to break loose.
- You can also add negative expo to your radio to slow down steering response.
- Just a small drop of black grease is needed for your differential. You just want to coat the gears.

If you've been racing the SC10 for awhile you've probably already figured this out, but I thought I would mention it. Most SC10 racers are now running there battery pack forward. This really helps reduce the pendulum affect the track has when it breaks traction. I've also removed all of the extra weight from my truck and it works really well.
