This MBox VW Camper Van is made especially for a good friend of mine Kevin aka '67VDub.
Having way more Diecast in my Display Cabinets to ever fulfill my collecting needs, I for some time have only purchased quantities of the same casting when I find one that fills my requirements to be useful for promotional purposes.
Kevin is one of about 2 dozen friends I have around the country who gather specific castings for me by the boxfulls.
Kevin, thanks so much Man for the boxfull of these '62 VW Camper Vans, I wish I had a thousand of them.
This one is especially for you Kevin.
The normally white plastic roof insert is now black bringing a dramatic change and look to the Custom.
After Stripping, lots of Filing, Sanding and rubbing down with #3 Steel Wool.
Base is shot with Adhesion Promoter, then primed and painted Fine Orion Silver and ClearCoated.
Body is primed and shot LimeTime Pearl, then InterCoat Cleared and taped.
Upper half of body is then shot Tru Blue.
Tape is removed and the whole casting is shot a diluted Candy Oriental Blue with a touch of Turquoise Pearl Powder.
Shooting the Candy over both base colors brings them closer together and into the same color temperature zone.
Center Caps are used for perfect Headlights and to Customize the ordinary MBox factory rims.
Blinkers, Taillights, DoorHandles, Front and Rear Windshield trim, all detailed.
Roof insert with applied Decal is inserted, epoxied, and the whole thing is Cleared with HOK Urethane Enamel.
All Products Used Are Exclusively House Of Kolor, Of Course!!!!!!!!!!!

If MBox re-releases this casting and doesn't goof it up, I'll be putting out feelers for all I can buy.
