Yeah they've been doing it for a month or so. My MMM has me walking on eggshells every time I hook up the batteries. I'll never get used to that bloody spark. Once it goes poof I'll be picking up one those popular Chinese 150A ESCs.

When you're running 4+s lipo, it's going to spark.

It's not just the Mamba Monster that does it. Helis do it, planes do it... The caps have to charge somehow. :)

yeah....I,m used to it by now.

ps. I,m more worried about the fact we are not using any fuses, running easily +100Amps thru our electronics,

we brushless pilots are real daredevils :)

Heh, tell me about it. I'll be glad when HV setups become more common and I can run milder capacity packs. BTW, what tires have you mounted on those Wabash rims you run on the E-Revo? Is the combination lighter than the stock wheels?

Got my Refurbished MonsterESC (v2.99) today, no delay at customs, ready to rock :)
but I first put it on the shelf for a few weeks since it,s a spare...well, if the old one doesn,t blow up tomorrow haha

ps. Any suggestions for a cheap spare motor ? Feigao 8 or 9XL for example ?

9XL most definitely. If you're planning on 6S, I'd go down to 10XL. Feigaos simply can't handle the high RPMs most other motors can, so the only way to maintain reliability would be this.
