What would I need to power a Venom 540 Brushless Motor 8.5T 5200Kv.
I realised that a 8900Kv motor was some serious overkill(:D).
I plan on putting the motor in a TA-02.
Also what gearing should I use.

Im not sure what you mean by "what do I need to power it"
If you mean what kind of battery then you should look at Lipo batteries. There are many choices and most of them you cant go wrong. Of course everyone has their opinion and mine is Zippy Lipos from Hobbycity.com. I get power and runtime equal to those of much more expensive batteries, but since they are cheaper I like to take my time and make sure they are always balanced. With a good name brand pack it may cost you lots more, but most people just run them over and over without a problem.
If you meant what kind of ESC, then again you have many choices. Pretty much any of the common name brands will work well. The favorites seem to be Castles and Tekin. I have a few Castle speed controls and I love them. That is a sensored motor, so taking advantage of the sensors would likey be beneficial for you. The new Mamba Max Pro coming out very soon works great on sensored or sensorless motors, and is priced as low as any. The Tekin has a steep price, but a strong following of folks that wont use anything else.
As for gearing I have found the best way to get proper gearing is to start with a pretty large pinion and small spur. Run the car for a few minutes and check the temperature. If it is running over 150F I will drop the pinion a tooth or two and do it all over again. Once the temp stays steady around 130-140F, you know you have found the sweet spot. Your motor will last a long time and you get great efficiency. For racing conditions some people run up to 170F or more, but I dont like running that hot as I feel it shortens motor life. If you dont have a selection of gears to start with and you are ordering what you think is best, then you will want to find someone running a similar setup to get your best answer. Or start with a small pinion/large spur. That way you know it will not run hot, and you can always go up from there.

Thats a great choice for the battery. I have a few of those packs and they perform as good or better than one of my expensive Reedy packs. Just remember you will need a lipo specific charger, you can find many reliable low cost choices at the same site.
The ESC you linked to is too small for a 10th scale car. It will run it, but it will likely be overworked. I would look at a sensored or hybrid esc.
heres a cheaper unit.

I don't have that kind of money. I'm only 13 and living in Aus.
I'm sure its great but i'll just evil-bay a 60A EZrun.
BTW: Is this a reliable low cost charger:

It's had some pretty good reviews but they start saying that it stops charging three cell lipos after about 10 charges.

The EZRun should be great for you. I have a few different model EZRun ESCs and they work very well.
I dont own that charger but I do have the cheaper one next to it as a backup and it works great. It is a pretty slow charge rate, but for the price it cant be beat. Plus you cant do anything wrong with it, its simple plug and go. Also when you decide you want to upgrade down the road you will not have a bunch of money invested.
