Rounds 9 & 10 of the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series (LOORRS) took place this time at the Speedworld Off Road Park in Surprise, Arizona. It was a warm but dry weekend that was kicked off with a 'Fan Appreciation Night' hosted by Quicks R/C and Buffalo Wild Wings. Quicks R/C built a cool demo track and Team Associated provided SC10s for the LOORRS fans and drivers to test their skills with.

Associated's Ryan Maifield and Richard Saxton cruised by later to check out the action, taking a break from racing at the Nitro Cross. Quicks had a big raffle at the end of the night, giving away a bunch of prizes including two SC10 trucks. Everyone had a great time and the fans were stoked!

AAAHHHHH Speed World! Home of The Nitro Pit! Very cool place. Drag racing, Off-Road, MotoX, R/C off-road & oval, R/C airport.... Love that place, I go every year to the Nitro Challenge, didn't know they raced Short Course out there too that's cool!

Yeah AE, Build me a 1:1 version of a 1:8 Buggy and I'll start a real off-road racing sport. Trucks are for kids! Buggies are where it's @. :D :D :D HAHAH J/K good job Bryce and AE for the win.

Just out of curiosity, how many race entries were there?

Can someone do abreak down of all these series starting up.. TORC, LOORRS, CORR... Whats the deal? Nobody wants to race together? Who is Who and what series has been around the longest? This whole SC thing blew up the RC world, I'd like to watch some races but Comcast doesnt know who carries all these races. Anybody have the 411 on this sport?

And what about bringing this stuff further up north on the west coast? I suppose we have too many greenies to allow someone to tear up pristine farm land to put in a track. I've always loved watching the buggies and trucks race on TV - desert or short course. Awesome stuff.
