New from RC4WD (http://www.rc4wdstore.com):

This is the world first scale V8 engine that fits a 540 motor inside. Imagine opening the hood of your scale truck to show your buddies what is powering your truck, then they find you have a real motor under the hood. This motor houses a 540 sized motor. It sends power from the motor thru to the lower transfer case. Then you can hook up either 2 wheels or 4 wheels.

CNC machined billet V8 engine housing
Fit 540 electronic motor
1:19 gear ratio
Weight: 824grams/29oz
Designed to fit 32P 18T to 22T pinion gears

1x 1/10 Fracture V8 Engine
1x 22 Tooth Pinion Gear

Optional part:

FJ40 Scale Chassis for V8 Engine (Part X-XXXX)

The FJ chassis looks really good too guys. You will not be dissapointed.

The motor is selling faster then we expected. So get your order in if you want one of the first ones out.

you guys are reading my mind! :D

It just amazes me how quickly RC4WD can come to market with good ideas like this. Years back when crawling was starting to get popular (read pede tranny and homemade tlt axle extensions), I was considering starting my own crawler parts company. I'm glad I didn't because RC4WD would've probably spanked me pretty good. :p

I actually did think of this years back and I'm sure many others did too...you guys just executed it better than I could imagine. Props to you!

that is really a nice effort. Will a Brushless motor fit in there?...Also, How about an engine detailing kit, ya know, fake spark plug wires and all?..Hemi Style valve covers?

I'd be willing to bet they are going to come out with some bolt on pieces. I doubt they would have had all the bolt on parts if not...

that's fantastic, trust me us scale "geeks" will find plenty of ways to detail it.
