As the collection grows, I'm finding it difficult to carry everything. Yesterday I slimmed down and took the t-maxx and the slash out. I didn't bring any chargers, and I didn't bring the gray battery box. My lipo's are great, they give enough run time to last the day.

Nitro needs a host of support equipment, and I got the basics into the toolbox.

I need a new box. What are you guys using? Has anyone found a good setup? I need big too! I looked at tool boxes at HD, and a tackle box at walmart.

I use a large Plano tackle box for my tools and misc parts, and i have a 2 large tote bins that i pile my cars, radio's and what not in. Still have to make 2-3 trips out of the workshop on play day though, haven't really found a way around it.

Still have to make 2-3 trips out of the workshop on play day ...

Ain't that the truth. For a while I just had the rc18, and if you notice the toolbox has velcro on it. The controller stuck there, and the truck could hook a wheel on the handle.

In one hand I had truck, controller, battery/charger and a ton of parts.

But since I've moved back into 10th scale, there's just so much gear!

that is what i use for races. works great. has a nice tool compartment at the top, medium sized section for parts and stuff, and then a bigger place for chargers. could probably fit a 1/10th scale buggy in the bottom compartment with room to spare at the front and back of the box.

I use separate tackle boxed for parts boxes and all the tools and support equipment go into one large tool box called the Stanley FatMax. Three tiers. Rolls. Retractable handle. Almost does it all. Also holds my 1/8th starter box in the bottom.

+1 fester, stanley mobile workstation everything you need will fit, large things like radios and a gallon of fuel will fit in the bottom, everything else in the top section. plus a roll out tray on the bottom of the top section for any small item, like screws, glow plugs and such love mine

a guy i used to bash with had a sweet setup. he had a plano tackle box and built a wooden frame around it, looped some really thick rope around it, and added some vertical boxes to the frame. it allowed him to carry fuel, starter box and some other stuff.

I don't take all my vehicles to the track at once, but I usually have my B4 and T4 with me, here's a link to my "packing up" procedure:

the car's, controllers and chargers i leave loose. but i keep all my RC tools and hardware in the green box seen in the pic below (its an old parma slot car box)
i have a couple of small containers with dividers to keep hardware organized. and a few old film containers for miscellaneous crap. iv got another old slot car box (same as the one pictured) i use to keep battery's and usually spare parts in. its kind of the organized clutter way of doing it. but it all fits in the box's and its easy to transport and fits just about anywhere. i pit in the trunk of a 71 vw bug and i can run 4 cars out of those 2 small box's. the box's also make good car stands.

I picked this up last night at Home Depot. Same thing a couple of the other guys in this thread were talking about. Cost $30.

I keep my little bottles of oil, diff fluid, CA glue, solder, etc in the top compartments.

http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r254/SimpleGreen93/RC%20Stuff/IMG_1310.jpg

Lift out tray just has the basics. Small pliers, snips, little butane torch, lighter, knife, basic screw driver bits and a full set of allen head bits for the ratcheting screw driver. Those will get me buy until I get 'real' RC tools.

http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r254/SimpleGreen93/RC%20Stuff/IMG_1313.jpg

Under the lift out I keep the manuals and parts books for my trucks and any NIP parts I have. Will probably keep a few small Plano boxes in here later.

http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r254/SimpleGreen93/RC%20Stuff/IMG_1314.jpg

And the bottom. I used some leftover boxes to organize things. I organized it to hold two radios because this box is mostly for going to the track, and the only two track capable vehicles I have are my mini Revo and my Slash. My charger, its power supply, and charging adapters are to the right...and my batteries will be down here too when I get them back from the RC shop. Lipo sacks are tucked in there, too.

Well, I dont use anything to take my stuff with me. I have enough tools in my truck at all times to fix anything that would need fixing quickly, and I just stick my Savage or Firestorm 10t in the passenger floorboard along with my fuel and fuel bottle, and throw my glow igniter, tuning screwdriver, and transmitter(and roto start if needed) in the passenger seat. I also usually bring a spare glow plug or 2 and spur gear. I run at my house a lot of the time but i normally dont take much even when i do go run somewhere. Of course it is always better to be prepared!
