Ryan Lutz uses the JVD RC clutch system for the 1st time at the RC Pro International Finals! Ryan finished 2nd in Pro Truck and 3rd in Pro Buggy A Mains.
The sponsorship deal was announced just before the Finals and Ryan's 1st shipment of the clutches arrived at the event the day practice started. Ryan installed the JVD system as it came out of the package to start his testing and never changed it from the stock setup. Ryan snapped some shots of the clutch after the weekend and below are his statements on the JVD system.
"This is after the 1 hour long A-main with zero touch-up. These clutches were taken straight from the package and assembled on my cars before the weekend started. So they had about an hour and a half of run time during practice and qualifying and then the 1 hour long main. They still with slight touchup will look practically new!
I was extremely impressed with the amount of punch they had when they engaged. But it was totally manageable and they disengaged just as well to bring me back to my instant idle that I like.
I ran the same set-up on both buggy and truggy and while I never played around with springs at all, the stock package felt very good as it was with the 1.0’s all the way around."
